The Juhu Police have arrested a 27-year-old servant who robbed a house in absence of the owner and fled away with Rs 8 lakh cash. After the robbery, the accused fled away to Rajasthan. The police laid a trap in Rajasthan and arrested the accused. They also recovered Rs 4 lakh cash from him.
The accused was identified as Tipulal Babjui Meena (27), a resident of Bildiya Kakra Daryavar in Rajasthan. He was working as a servant at Juhu-based businessman Pratham Manoj Gandhi (28), resident of Kanchan Building at NS Road No-5 at Juhu Scheme at Vile Parle West.

According to the police officials, the incident took place on September 16 after complainant Pratham Gandhi had gone to his office. That is when accused Tipulal Meena opened a wooden cupboard at Gandhi's home and fled away Rs 8 lakh cash and silver jewellery worth Rs 1.85 lakhs. Later, Gandhi immediately rushed to the Juhu police and registered the FIR under section 381 of IPC.

Juhu police formed a team of police Inspector Ashok More, PSI Vijay Dhorte, Police Naik Amit Mahangade and Constable Suhash Bhosale. With tip-off information, they found that the accused Meena was hiding in his village in Rajasthan. Juhu police caught accused Meena from his home and also recovered Rs 4 lakh cash and silver jewellery worth Rs 1.85 lakh.
