On Saturday, the Air Quality Index (AQI) of Mumbai was reported to be in the 'moderate' category, as per the SAMEER app.
The AQI data mapped by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), further revealed that of the total 22 stations in Mumbai, Sion area reported 'poor' air quality on October 28 with AQI at 250.
The minimum temperature in Mumbai on Saturday is likely to be 22 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature is likely to settle at 34 degrees Celsius.
Mumbai's Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 143, in the 'moderate' category, around 10 am. Further, Navi Mumbai and Thane too reported 'moderate' air quality, with AQI at 175 and 125 respectively.

Further, the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) revealed that Borivali (East), Andheri's Chakala and Worli's Siddharth Nagar in Mumbai are the least polluted with AQI at 90, 69 and 90 respectively.
The data further reveals that the most prominent pollutant in Mumbai is PM10. While the most prominent pollutant in Thane is PM10 and PM 2.5.
The most prominent pollutant in Navi Mumbai is PM 10. While, overall Navi Mumbai's AQI stands in 'moderate' category, Vashi, and Sanpada area reported 'poor' air quality with AQI at 235 and 203 respectively.
An AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 and 100 'satisfactory', 101 and 200 'moderate', 201 and 300 'poor', 301 and 400 'very poor', and 401 and 500 'severe'.
