The tourist circuit bus will ply twice in the evening
The BEST undertaking on Monday announced the resumption of its tourist circuit bus tours in south Mumbai from November 3. The bus will cover three UNESCO-listed heritage sites, including the Victorian and Art Deco Ensemble of Mumbai, CSMT and Churchgate.
mid-day was the first to report about it last week during an exclusive interaction with BEST GM Lokesh Chandra. "We are starting the heritage tours using the open-deck bus from Wednesday," Chandra confirmed to mid-day. Officials said tickets for the upper deck cost R150 and for lower deck Rs 75.
The bus will ply twice in the evening. The first tour will be from 6.30 pm to 7.45 pm and the second from 8 pm to 9.15 pm. The tours will start from the Gateway of India and cover the museum, Mantralaya, Vidhan Bhavan, NCPA, etc.
Tickets for the tours will be available at Gateway of India, SP Mukherjee Chowk (Regal Circle) and CSMT. For more details, enthusiasts could call 1800 227550 or 02224110117.
