To revive the culture of art and writing and restore human emotion, India Post Maharashtra Circle organised a Letter Fest, the first of its kind, titled Patrotsav 2023 at the General Post Office in Mumbai on Saturday.
"More than 100 participants across various schools of Mumbai city and suburbs joined the festival of writing letters in Mumbai GPO premises. The event aspired to revive the art and culture of letter writing and restore the expression of human emotions through pen and paper, in this era where technology is considered as the best means of communication," Amitabh Singh, Postmaster General, Mumbai Region, said.

The grand event, aptly called "1st Mumbai Letter Fest, PATROTSAV 2023" began at 11 am at the Mumbai GPO premises as a part of National Postal Week 2023 that commenced on October 9, 2023, to create awareness about the significance and relevance of letter writing amongst the youth and children of the country.
The event marked the esteemed presence of celebrated writers Shri Raviraj Gandhe as the Chief Guest and Smt Santani Govindan and calligraphy mentor, Shri Achyut Palav as Guest of Honour. Shri and Dr Ajinkya Kale, Director of Postal Services, Mumbai Region were present amongst the dignitaries in the event.
