The Mumbai Police on Wednesday arrested the man who allegedly issued death threat to Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar. The accused was arrested from Jamnagar in Gujarat and has been remanded to police custody till January 10.
On December 22, Kishori Pednekar had received a death threat when she was busy in a meeting at the BMC headquarters in Mumbai. A case was registered at Azad Maidan police station a couple of days ago.
"I was busy in a meeting with my colleagues at BMC headquarters on December 22 when I received a call on my mobile phone. But I did not take the call. After two-three missed calls, the unknown person called my PA and told him that he will kill me. The unknown person also sent him a death threat message," Pednekar had told Mid-day.
