The poster celebrating Chhota Rajan was put up in Malad East
Putting up hoardings announcing a Kabaddi competition to celebrate gangster Chhota Rajan's birthday, got six people into trouble on Saturday. Kurar police booked the accused under Maharashtra Prevention of Defacement of Property Act, 1995. No one was arrested.
The competition was to be held at Ganesh Maidan in Kurar village in Malad East, on January 14 and January 15, by CR Samajik Sanghatan. Preliminary investigation revealed the act was done by Sagar Gole, 26, Rakesh Ghadigaonkar, 45, Raj alias Dnyaneshwar Gole, 57, Gaurav Chavhan, 31, and Vidya Kadam and Deepak Sakpal, 45.

"The group claimed to be a social service group and had arranged the competition to celebrate gangster Rajendra Nikalje alias Chhota Rajan's birthday which falls on January 13," the police said.
