Mumbai: Over 30 motorcycles gutted in fire at Kurla

Around 30 to 35 motorcycles and 8 to 10 bicycles were gutted in a fire that broke out in the open space in front of C Wing at Dhamma Seva Housing Society, East Point Building, Jagruti Nagar, Kurla (East) on Wednesday at 3.15 am

"The fire damaged 30 to 35 motorcycles and 8 to 10 bicycles parked in the area. Also, clothes kept for drying in the window of the 8th floor of the building as well as plastic nets installed to prevent pigeons from entering the room caught fire," said an official.

The blaze was extinguished with the help of fire brigade and no casualties were reported. The cause of the fire is not yet ascertained. Nehru Nagar cops have noted the incident and statements of residents are being registered.
