Mumbai Police on Tuesday night began a special operation in the city that went on till the wee hours of Wednesday and nabbed several offenders in various cases, the police said.
According to the police, a special 'All Out Operation' was undertaken in the city under the guidance of Mumbai Police Commissioner, Vivek Phansalkar and Special Mumbai Police Commissioner, Deven Bharti. All the regions of the city and the traffic police were part of the operation in which several offenders were nabbed.
The police said as many as 95 people against whom a non-bailable warrant had been issued were held, and 28 people who were wanted or absconding in the records of the police were also nabbed.
The action was also taken against drugs and raids were conducted at illegal liquor-selling and gambling joints. The police arrested 68 people and raided 41 such spots during the special operation, police said.

The police also took action under the NDPS Act on as many as 149 people during the operation.
In the city, the police conducted a combing operation at 233 places, Nakabandi was conducted at 100 spots and 1113 hotels, lodges and musafirkhanas were examined.
During the Nakabandi, the police checked a total number of 8168 vehicles including two and four-wheelers and fined 5747 drivers for different violations. The police also action against 15 people for drink and driving under the Motor Vehicle Act, the police said.
The Mumbai Police conducts its special operations at regular intervals to maintain the law and order in the city and for security reasons. The zonal DCPs, Division ACPs and senior police officials and police personnel of the city are part of the operation, a police official said.
