Due to waterlogging issues, the BEST buses plying on the roads in Sion, Hindamata and Chembur areas have been diverted to alternative routes.
As per the Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) officials, a few of the bus routes in Sion, Hindamata and Chembur have been diverted due to waterlogging.
The BEST official said, "Due to water logging at Sion road no. 24, buses of route 341, 312, 7, 22, 25, 302, 352, 411 and C10 are diverted via Sion Circle road no. 3. Similarly, buses on Shelly Colony, Chembur routes - 355, 357 and 360 are diverted via Chembur Naka."
"Buses on Hindmata Cinema route - C/40, A/368 and 212 are diverted via Naigaon," added the BEST official.

The island city, eastern and western suburbs received an average rainfall of 26.24 mm, 25.88 mm and 17.74 mm respectively in 5 hours ending 1 pm, the civic body's data showed.
Further, IMD has issued an orange alert for Mumbai on Friday, July 21.
While, the local trains on Central and Harbour lines are running 30 minutes late, Western line is running smoothly.
