Mumbai on Wednesday recorded 85 new cases of coronavirus and one death due to the infection, according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
With this, the tally of infections in the city rose to 11,54,167, while the toll reached 19,740.
The deceased was a 74-year-old female suffering from diabetes and hypertension, as per the BMC bulletin.

The city is now left with 584 active cases after 80 patients recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours, taking the number of recoveries so far to 11,33,843.
A total of 5,165 swab samples were tested in the last 24 hours, taking the count of samples examined so far in the city to 1,84,62,630.
The recovery rate stands at 98.2 per cent, while the doubling rate of cases is 9,148 days, the bulletin stated.
