Traffic constable Rajendra Shegar getting rewarded for his efforts
In a heartwarming incident, a Mumbai Police traffic constable has saved the lives of a father and his six-year-old daughter amidst heavy rains in Kandivli on July 18.
Constable Rajendra Shegar who was posted at Kandivli Traffic Police Chowki on Sunday night (July 18), saw the father-daughter duo losing balance as they walked on the waterlogged road. As her father lost balance, the girl fell and got injured. Shegar, who was on duty at that time, rushed to help the duo and brought them to a safe place.
The video of Shegar rescuing the duo has now gone viral on social media. Mumbai Police tweeted the clip from their official account and captioned it, "You Can Count On Us! A Kandivali Cop helping an injured dad and his daughter reach to safety. #AamhiDutyVarAhot (sic)."

For this humanitarian gesture, Yashasvi Yadav, Joint Police Commissioner of Traffic Police has rewarded the constable. Mumbai Police spokesperson, DCP Chaitnya S told mid-day, "Mumbai Police is ready to serve the people and works in the interest of the people."
