A 66-year-old woman was killed after she fell from second floor of a building while she was cleaning a window of a flat in Mulund. The deceased identified as Sulochana Lakshman Soshte used to work as a domestic help. The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon when she was cleaning the windows of the kitchen, the Mulund police said.
According to the police, She was cleaning the sliding windows and the iron grill of the outer side of the window came out which made her fall off the window from a height of about 25-30 feet. Sulochana was a resident of Uday Nagar, Mulund (W) and had been working at one Sadhu Minappa Shetty's (80) house at Swapna Deep Society for past 2 years. On Tuesday, she reached for work at around 10 am and after cleaning the floor and washing clothes, she was cleaning the sliding windows in the kitchen and she fell down from second floor of the building.

"She sustained severe head and leg injuries. She was rushed to MT Agarwal General Hospital for treatment but the doctors declared her dead on arrival," said Kantilal Kothimbire, senior inspector of Mulund police station.

Sulochana was declared dead by Dr. Pradeep Jople, at 12.05 pm, the police said.
Mulund Police have registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) in connection with the incident. The body has been sent to Rajawadi hospital in Ghatkopar for post mortem.
