Bholanath Thakur
An ex-corporator from Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC), who recently quit Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and joined Shiv Sena, died by suicide at his home on Friday morning.
Bholanath Thakur, 52, was a resident of Digha in Navi Mumbai.
On Thursday, Thakur reached home in the night and did not come out of the room till 11.30 am on Friday. When he did not respond, the family broke open the door and found him hanging from the ceiling fan.
Kalwa police was informed and Thakur was taken to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead

No suicide note has been found and cops are yet to ascertain the reason behind the death.
Thakur was corporator from Digha from 2000 to 2005.
