In Thane district, an unidentified man allegedly attacked a 34-year-old doctor in his clinic. According to a report in PTI, the man attacked the doctor over a dispute and also damaged his car.
Reportedly, the man walked into the doctor's clinic at Kausa in the Mumbra area on November 13 evening when he was examining a patient.
The attacker carried a box and told the doctor that he had brought sweets for the doctor. The unidentified accused then said that he had given his wife 'talaq' (divorce) and further claimed that the latter had an affair with the doctor, police personnel from Mumbra told PTI.
According to the report, the man allegedly fell unconscious for some time after the man purportedly hit the doctor on his back. He later ran out of the clinic and also vandalised the doctor's car.

The complainant's assistant had tended to him and arranged first aid.
The cops, on Wednesday, registered a case against the unidentified accused under Sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 427 (mischief causing damage), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code and the Maharashtra Medicare Service Persons and Medicare Service Institutions (Prevention of Violence and Damage or Loss to Property). The police said that further probe is underway.
In another incident from Mumbai, a 38-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping a doctor and subsequently blackmailing her. According to a report in ANI, the woman approached the Gamdevi police station in South Mumbai with a complaint.
She, in her complaint, stated that the accused befriended her during badminton sessions at a Tardeo club. The police told ANI that the woman--who was married--was not living with her husband due to domestic issues at the time of the incident. The complainant had reportedly said that the accused had offered to speak with her in this regard.
The complainant then stated that when she went to meet the accused, he allegedly spiked her drink after which she was unconscious and he raped her.
Following the incident, in October, the accused asked the complainant for money. When she refused to give money, he threatened her by saying he would upload on social media the photo and video he filmed.
The police further added that the man was arrested under 376 (rape) and 384 (extortion) Sections of the Indian Penal Code and that further probe into the matter is on.
