In a bid to attract customers, a Vasai-based restaurant is organising Oktoberfest at their premises for which they claim to have secured all the permissions required to run the 45-days food festival.
There are three owners of Vasai Republic - Pooja Naik, Sharmila Naik and Nital Gonsalves. "Oktoberfest is the world's biggest beer, food and entertainment festival. It is held in Germany every year. We will start the Oktoberfest at the Vasai Republic on September 20 and it will culminate after 45 days," said Pooja.
Sharmila said, "A variety of German foods will be served at the Oktoberfest in Vasai, where people can enjoy a unique experience."

Nital told mid-day that all the SOPs related to the Covid-19 pandemic will be strictly followed. "All our staff members are fully vaccinated. People will be requested to maintain social distancing. All the guests will have to undergo thermal screening before entering the premises which will be opened till 10 pm," she added.
