Mumbai, on Sunday recorded a temperature of 23.1 degrees Celsius, the lowest maximum temperature this decade. This was 8 degrees Celsius below normal. It is the second instance this month when the city recorded the lowest daytime temperature. IMD forecasts the morning temperature will dip further.
It had also predicted the possibility of occasional dust raising winds leading to reduction in visibility.

Parts of Maharashtra and Gujarat were shrouded by sheets of dust owing to the dust storm on Sunday. Strong dust storm originating in the Middle-East reached India. A layer of haze covered Mumbai right after it experienced unseasonal rains; this was a result of the dust storm.
Mumbaikars took to twitter to share videos and updates on how their cars were covered with layers of dust on Sunday.
As per the 7-day forecast of IMD, the minimum temperature is likely to further drop to 13 degrees Celsius on January 24. The minimum temperature of the city will likely remain between 13 to 16 degree celcius for the next seven days.
