The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted 'moderate spells of rain' in Mumbai and its suburbs on Friday
"Generally cloudy sky with possibility of light to moderate rainfall likely in Mumbai and suburbs today," the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said
Due to rains, the collective lake levels in the seven reservoirs that supply drinking water to Mumbai is now 98.56 per cent, as per the BMC data
A high tide of about 3.23 metres was expected to hit Mumbai at 3.37 pm today
