Interestingly, even as the cop failed to recognise the 'smart guy,' the media waited outside the station to catch a glimpse of the visitor actor Shiney Ahuja.
Shiney, who is staying at his father's residence in Noida after being released on bail from a Mumbai jail, has been ordered by the Bombay High Court to mark his attendance regularly at a local police station.
Meanwhile, sources at the Sector 20 police station said Shiney parked his car outside the thana and walked in.
Reportedly, he was very casual and informed the police officer on duty he wanted to mark his attendance. No one at the police station recognised Shiney till he signed and made a quick exit.
The SHO of the police station confirmed Shiney had arrived at around 8.30 on Monday evening to mark his attendance.
Earlier in the day, the 36-year-old actor visited a multi-speciality hospital. According to sources, Shiney arrived at Kailash Hospital at around 10.30 am as he was suffering from some health problem. But no hospital official came on record confirming the visit.
Shiney has been accused of raping his domestic maid. He was arrested when the maid lodged a complaint against him at the Oshiwara police station in Mumbai. Shiney was under judicial custody for three months.
