The first time I met Anjaan was when I interviewed him for a job, and guess what? He knew more about me than I knew about myself! He has such a positive vibe that he does not come across as a stranger even at the first meeting. His strength is his ability to connect with everyone from the chap on the street to the corporate czar. I'm confident that, by the end of the contest, the other nine finalists will be rooting for him!
A great combination of spontaneity and hard work, Anjaan is like Sachin Tendulkar. When you watch Sachin at the crease, you marvel at his natural game, but people close to him know the kind of work he puts in to achieve that effortless ease. It's the same with Anjaan. He does his homework thoroughly, he works really hard and he carefully cultivates the spontaneous ai r that he wears with such confidence.
Incredibly talented and brilliantly networked, he's really our go-to man at RadioOne. C'mon, how many of us would even know of a contest like the World's Best Job! If I were to list his strengths, I would say he's a fabulous emcee, a great RJ, a good sportsman (swimmer, golfer and environmentally conscious citizen who cycles to work) and a guy who can pack 30 hours into 24. He's got all it takes to shine in a tough, competitive environment. So I wouldn't be a wee bit surprised if he went on to win the contest.
