the area have been issued voter ID cards by the Election Commission (EC), with their address listed as IHABS Mental Hospital in Dilshad Garden, east Delhi.
Locals claim that they have been paid several visits in the past by EC representatives for verification of address and other details. But despite that the new ID cards continue to have the same deficiency.
"We have complained several times to the concerned authoritiesu00a0 but no changes have been made yet to our election ID cards" said Pradeep, a resident of the colony.
Amar Deep Gulhati, chief convenor of RWA Swami Dayanand Hospital Colony, said: "I have filed an RTI application trying to find out why such blunders are committed repeatedly by the Elction Commission but I haven't received a convincing reply from anyone so far."
There are 100 flats in the colony where most residents are suffering from the same problem. Other than the voter ID cards every other document like ration card, electricity bills etc contain their proper address. So the discrepancy is creating confusion and chaos in their lives.
"We are not able to get passports and other legal documents because of this little hitch," said Love Kumar, a resident of the colony.u00a0u00a0u00a0
