Educated youngsters take to carjacking, snatching for easy money
They are young and educated but their passion for easy money has made them turn towards crime. So they indulge in carjacking, snatching and petty thefts and their crimes are only increase day by day.
According to Noida police, as there is no specific gang involved, it becomes difficult to trace these young criminals. On an average, at least five cases of car lifting and snatching are reported every day.

"Ankit mostly used to target women near Atta market and Spice mall. Even after getting caught he is not afraid of consequences," said a police officer. There are many such Ankits on the streets of Noida and the police say that though they arrest a number of people every week, yet the theft cases are on the rise.
On Wednesday, two people snatched a bike at gun point from Greater Noida student who was returning after giving his practical exam. He immediately informed the police. As the police stopped bike lifters at a check post, they tried to escape. The police then opened fire in which one accused was killed while the other managed to escape.
The Noida police are now working on mechanism to involve Resident Welfare Associations (RWA) and companies in an effort to prevent such incidents.u00a0
