Actor Emraan Hashmi was at a Metro Station on Wednesday for the promotion of his upcoming film Dirty Picture, but had to return from the gates
It was just short of a major stampede at the Metro Station exits of Connaught place (CP) as the team of upcoming flick -- Dirty Picture -- led by Emraan Hashmi, was suddenly seen among the crowd. The actor was in the city for the promotion of the film.

According to police officials, they had no prior information regarding the security arrangements. A lot of people had gathered near the Metro Station, trying to catch up with Hashmi. As per the official spokesperson of the movie, "Emraan and his team had already taken the permission to board the Metro from Rajiv Chowk till Patel Chowk. But, as a matter of fact, when he entered the Metro gates, the persistent crowd created havoc and he could not board the Metro at all and had to return."
Authorities unaware
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) authorities, however, maintained that they were unaware of any such incident. "The actor had come for the promotion of the film and apart from CP, they went to Parliament Street, Nizamuddin Dargah and Gurgaon," said the official spokesperson of the film.
