Kochi: Kerala government today said it is trying to make necessary arrangements to facilitate travel of around 168 Keralites, who were brought to Mumbai from war-torn Yemen by two IAF aircrafts last night.
State Minister for Diaspora K C Joseph said that while an Air India flight carrying 195 persons, mostly Keralites, from Djibouti landed in Kochi last night, two other aircraft carrying a total of 454 evacuees were touching down at Mumbai airport.
"Out of 454 evacuees who reached Mumbai, 168 are Keralites. They are protesting as they face difficulties to get train and flight tickets to Kerala," Joseph told PTI. He said the state government was trying to bring them to Kerala by train and AC buses.
