Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray may not have to undergo any surgery as of now, the party mouthpiece said today.
Uddhav Monday underwent angiography at a suburban after he complained of chest pains. "Since last four days he (Uddhav) was having chest pains. Therefore, he went to the hospital and did a check-up," the article said.
The tests were conducted on the party executive president under the guidance of cardiologist Dr Samuel Mathew. "He was subjected to stress test and two-dimensional echocardiography test," the report said.
A team of Dr Jalil Parkar, Dr Samad Ansari, Dr Ajit Menon, Dr Omprakash Jaiswal, Dr Prakash Jindani and Dr Mathew conducted angiography on Uddhav.
After angiography, there is no need as of now of any heart surgery on Uddhav, Dr Parkar is quoted as saying.
Meanwhile, Dr Sudhir, official spokesperson of Lilavati Hospital, refused to comment on Uddhav's health.
According to the report, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, his daughter and MP Supriya Sule, BJP leaders Nitin Gadkari, Sushma Swaraj checked about Uddhav's health over phone. u00a0
