The officers due to arrive are Chief Superintendent Russ Jackson of the Greater Manchester police and a specially trained family liaison officer.
Anuj's uncle Shekhar Desai said: "We were earlier told that three officers would be flying to India to meet Anuj's parents. However, only two officers were able to secure tickets for Pune. They are expected to arrive in Pune by Monday evening."
Anuj's father Subhash said: "Ministry of External Affairs officials are constantly updating us, but no specific date for repatriation of my son's mortal remains has been given to us so far. We have been informed that some pathological test would be conducted on Anuj's body on Tuesday."
