The Delhi police claimed to have recovered 45 litres of hooch from a house in Aligaon area of south east Delhi


The Delhi police claimed to have recovered 45 litres of hooch from a house in Aligaon area of south east Delhi.

The raid was conducted on information from residents of the area. The police raided the house and recovered 45 bottles of spurious liquor. An FIR has been lodged against two persons who were involved in the business and were arrested from the house red- handed.

"We received information about the spurious liquor in Aligaon area and our special team conducted a raid on the suspected house at midnight. We are investigating the case and interrogating the accused. We will send the samples of the recovered liquor to the forensic labs," said a police officer.

Last year many people lost their lives after consuming hooch in different areas of Delhi. Majority of deaths were reported from Ranjit Nagar, Patel Nagar and Mayapuri.
