Two people, including a woman, have been arrested for allegedly running a human trafficking racket in the Capital on Thursday.
Mohd Saleem, resident of Assam and presently residing in a room in Sarai Kale Khan village, and his daughter, Marzeen were held and a minor girl was also recovered from their house, a senior police official said.
The accused, facing acute financial crisis, had allegedly lured the minor girl from his native place and brought her here two months ago and forced her in prostitution.
After some time he again went back and brought another girl and also forced her in prostitution.
The accused's daughter used to keep an eye on both the girls when he used to be away from his house.
Few day's ago one of the girl managed to escape and went to the police, who sent her to a shelter home, he said, adding after receiving information a raid was conducted and the other minor girl was rescued.
The police produced both Saleem and his daughter in the court.
The police is verifying further links of Saleem in Assam as well as in Delhi.
