A 28-year-old man allegedly strangled his wife before committing suicide.

The police said a person called Ajay Pakhare registered a complaint regarding the incident at the Paud police station.
The police identified the dead man as Mahesh Vithhal Balkawade of Bhugaon and said he had hanged himself.
The police said they were still unclear about the reasons behind Balkawade taking his wife's life and then committing suicide.u00a0 The incident took place in Bhugaon on September 30, said the police.
The police said after Balkawade strangled his wife Asmita (25), he hanged himself from a wooden bar in the couple'su00a0 bedroom. e police have registered a case of murder and suicide against Balkwade.u00a0
