In a late night accident at Pimpri, a biker at Rahatni Chowk hit a five-year-old boy. The accident happened around 11.00 pm and the injured boy bleeding on the road.
According to doctors at YCM hospital, who were treating the boy he sustained head injuries and a fracture to his right leg. A CT scan examination is yet to be conducted to ascertain the extent of his head injuries.
The boy identified as Aniket Shinde had accompanied his parents to his aunt's house in Pimpri for Raksha Bandhan. His father Sadashiv Shinde said that the boy had wandered out of the house when the family had sat down for dinner. "The worst part was the biker didn't even wait to see if my son was all right and fled from there. We came rushing out hearing him cry out in pain," said the resident of Kothrud.
