Team456, a capital-based bikers' group, is organising a bike ride to Chaukori, Bhimtal and Patal Bhuvaneshwar in October, which promises to be a fun-filled adventure. Here's more from their itinerary, and why you must register asap.
Three to tango
The tour covers Bhimtal, a town in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand, famous for the Bhimtal Lake, which has an island at its Centre. It is the largest lake in the only real lake district (Nainital) of India. Chaukori is a tiny hill station located in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand. It is a dream destination for the nature lover, surrounded by dense forests, offering majestic views Nanda Devi and Panchchuli peaks. Patal Bhuvaneshwar is a limestone cave complex situated in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand. The cave lies 90 feet beneath the ground, and is full of stalagmite and stalactite figures bearing amazing resemblance tou00a0 gods, goddesses and other mythological figures. The cave temple here is believed to be the abode of 33 crore deities.
The group offers a comprehensive package to participants, which includes fuel, breakfast and dinner, apart from accommodation on triple-sharing basis. "Our company undertakes these trips regularly, and all of them on motorbikes, to attract bike enthusiasts.
