Two young girls seeking jobs were abducted and forced into prostitution. But they managed to escape.
The girls have alleged that on March 20, they were kidnapped from Vidyaranyapura by four persons. They escaped after two days and later lodged a complaint with the Jalahalli police.
Geetha (name changed), a native of Hubli, has said inu00a0 her complaint that she came to Bangalore in search of a job in a garments factory as she was trained in tailoring.
In Bangalore, she met her friend Rani (name changed), a resident of Jalahalli. Rani's friend Keshav agreed to help her find a job.
On March 20, Geetha along with Rani and Keshav went to meet a few men from a garment factory in the evening in Keshav's car.
Kidnapped
When they reached the Ring Road in Jalahalli, four persons came in a car and stopped them. They pushed the driver, Keshav, out of the car at knife point and abducted the two girls. They drove the car to Hosakote and asked the girls to get into another car near Hosakote. The girls were kept in a shed house in a village, police said.
Great escape
The accused allegedly forced the girls to get into prostitution and even tried to rape them. The girls have identified the accused in the shed as Charan, Praveen, Kiran and Shivaram.
Vidyaranyapura police are investigating the case.
