LK Advani's Jan Chetna Yatra arrives in city; senior BJP leader says anti-graft yatra has drawn even more support than his Ram Temple yatra

The full throated slogan of 'Siapati Ramchandra ki Jai' by enthusiastic party workers, made BJP senior leader Lal Krishna Advani take a pause in the beginning of his speech during the pubic rally that was organised by city BJP unit to mark the success of their senior leader's Jan Chetna Yatra yesterday. Under the second phase of the Yatra, Advani's chariot arrived in the city late evening.

Gadkari and deputy leader of the opposition in Lok Sabha Gopinath
Munde was seen even in the presence of their senior leader on the
stage as both of them hardly spoke to each other

Slogans by party workers made Advani pause in the beginning of his speech, but keeping his emotions for Lord Ram aside, he stressed on the overwhelming success he was getting through his Yatra. Advani said, "Although my Ram Temple Yatra is counted as my most successful yatra, I would say I have never seen such an awe-inspiring support to Jan Chetna Yatra as it is concerned mainly with the country and its reputation at the global level."

Reportedly, the leader had to be promptedu00a0 by other members in his team as kept forgetting his speech.
Though 83-year-old Advani was looking much tired and ill, he lashed out at the central government for the number of corruption cases. He said, "India is the only country where inflation rate is more than 9 per cent which is the highest in the world. Whatever happened in the country during the last one year has forced people to lose faith in the leadership of the UPA government." He also questioned the fairness of CAG which mentioned in its report that only 1.76 crore black money was stored in the Swiss banks.

While Swiss banking officials themselves said that the largest depositors of illegal foreign money in Switzerland are Indian and the actual amount is Rs 25 lakh crore.u00a0Advani further suggested that this black money should be brought back to India and be used for the developmental work of small villages in the country. And this was the only reason behind his 12,000 km Jan Chetna Yatra, Advani said.u00a0u00a0

BJP's national spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad and general secretary Ananth Kumar were also present on the occasion along with MLA Girish Bapat, BJP state president Sudhir Mungantiwar and leader of the opposition in state assembly Eknath Khadse.

Munde v/s Gadkari?
IT seems like the deputy leader of the opposition in the Loksabha, Gopinath Munde was the real hero of the public rally organised by city BJP unit. Although the city's party politics is turning around for BJP's national president Nitin Gadkari, Munde got an overwhelming response from the party workers. Munde also reminded the people that Khadakwasla assembly by poll victory was possible only because of him, as he had campaigned for the party's candidate Bhimrao Tapkir. However, the friction between Munde and Gadkari was seen once again even in the presence of their party's senior leader as both hardly talked to each other.u00a0
