The seventh Aero India 2009 will be held at Air Force Station, Yelahanka from February 11 to 15.

The aerospace exhibition will showcase the latest in military and civil aircraft, vital components for aircraft engines, avionics systems, airfield radars and new-age technologies used in the defense sector, said a release from Bengaluru International Airport Ltd (BIAL).

The airport will halt commercial operations from February 7-10 from 10 am to 12 noon. Similarly, during the actual event, the airport will refrain from commercial operations of aircraft between the Aero show timings beginning 10 am to 12 noon and 2:30 pm pm to 4.30 pm.

Scheduled aircraft operations out of the airport will be affected and the airlines have received communication on the reduced operating hours, said the release.

Ancillary support by airport taxi and bus service providers will be arranged to accommodate the increase in traffic to the airport.
