The great Indian wedding has always been an affair to remember but this one scaled new heights. In a unique wedding on Sunday, that managed to pierce the recession cloud, a bridegroom took a helicopter ride from Gurgaon to Rewadi for his marriage.
The groom Ajit Yadav, a BBA student and son of an Army officer, left for Rewadi on a copter with a huge garland of currency notes around his neck.
The Yadavs are land owners in Haryana. Ajit's father, Mamchand Yadav, said that when he had boarded a helicopter during his days in the Army he had promised to himself that his son would dump the traditional horse for an airy ride on his wedding day. "I always wanted my son to ride a helicopter on his wedding. Today my dream has come true," said Mamchand Yadav.
Ajit said his wife-to-be Monica was waiting for him eagerly to wed and take her away in a helicopter. "I am very happy that my father gifted this helicopter ride as a present to my wife," he said.
