Amarnath yatra on Thursday resumed from Jammu with 1,667 pilgrims leaving for the cave shrine in South Kashmir Himalayas.


Amarnath yatra on Thursday resumed from Jammu with 1,667 pilgrims leaving for the cave shrine in South Kashmir Himalayas.

The pilgrimage was suspended on Wednesday as 15,000 devotees were stranded at the transit camp at Baltal.

Today's batch comprising 766 men, 308 women and 60 children left here around 0500 hours and is expected to reach Baltal by the evening.
