Delhi police has arrested one more person in connection with the murder of Rohit Ahlawat (28), son of senior Tis Hazari advocate Ram Ratan Ahlawat. Rohit was allegedly kidnapped by six of his friends from ITO last Monday. His body was recovered in Sonepat, Haryana on Friday. A police source said that Raju, the driver of the cab used in the abduction, has been arrested.

"Raju has been arrested but Firoz, Mukesh and Javed are still absconding. Firoz and Javed needed money for some work. They then planned to kidnap Rohit to demand ransom against his release," said the police official.
The official said that Raju works as a driver in a cab transport company of Jaipur. The other accused booked this cab in which Rohit was strangulated and then shot dead.

"Raju also used to provide them girls," said the source. The cab belongs to My Cab Transport Company, the source added. "They booked the cab on a fake name, Sonu, on November 18. The vehicle was booked by Anadil and Mehboob who have already been arrested," said the police source.

Javed, one of the accused on the run, needed money to set up a garment factory. He had taken up a plot in Noida sector 10 but didn't have money to pay the rent. He had argument with his family members after which they disowned him. Likewise Javed Firoj and Anadli also wanted money for business.

"They would not have killed Rohit if he had a large sum in his account. When the accused came to know that he has only Rs 8500 in his account, they got angry and killed him. A police team is conducting raids in Muradabad district to nab the accused persons," said the police official.
