WHAT's ON visited the new store in Koregaon Park and battled claustrophobia to catch a glimpse of the booty on display Clothes at Olive
If it's that time of the year when you shop for a completely new wardrobe, you should visit the newly-opened Olive at Koregaon Park. The store on North Main Road offers a mixed bag of clothes and accessories and is frequented mostly by college-goers and foreigners residing in the area.
Ambience: The look and feel is a far cry from what you would call orderly and relaxed. The store is too cramped you may tend to feel claustrophobic, especially if there are more than three people inside at a time.u00a0
Be prepared to rummage through the entire store to pick up something that's right for you. If you want to try something out, you have to make do with just one trial room. So be ready to wait in line.
Range: They have an array of fabrics in various designs and colours, including halter necks and backless tops.
The partywear range comes in eye-catching colours and stunning fabrics. The bags, accessories, shoes and glares are geared to give the ladies a chic and trendy look. However, the guys have limited choice and can only choose from the t-shirts and jeans.
We liked: A white clutch with gold work (Rs 1,095) was sleek and classy. Another bag that attracted our attention was a red and white leather bag (Rs 1,295) with a glossy finish, accentuated with a golden zip. It came in three vibrant hues of red, pink and green. Metallic blue-copper coloured, kitten-heels were also appealing. We also liked the grey-black, crepe party wear, strapless, knee length dress (Rs 1,350) with an empire waist, which was enhanced by a black satin rose in the middle.
