A south Delhi based businessman has lodged a complaint with the police that he is being threatened by a local goon since one month to pay him Rs two crore. The incident has been reported from Vasant Kunj area in south Delhi.
The victim had gone to Pune in Maharashtra on May 25 when the accused allegedly broke the lock at his door and replaced it with another one. "When Vijay returned home, he was shocked to see that the locks at his door were changed. He had to break the locks and enter his house. At night he got a call from Vijay Pehalwan who said that he had replaced the locks and how did he dare to break it. Vijay demanded Rs two crore in two days from him. The victim then approached the police. An FIR has been registered and investigation in the matter is on," said the police.
The victim, Gajender Singh, deals in real estate. Speaking to MiD DAY, Singh alias Kalu, said one Vijay Pehalwan has been threatening him for past one month. He said that Vijay had come to his shop in Vasant Kunj area a month ago and demanded Rs 10 lakhs. After he refused to pay him the amount, Vijay started threatening him.
"Vijay Pehalwan is involved in more than 20 criminal cases. Now he is demanding Rs two crore form me. He threatened me that if I don't pay him, he will kill my whole family," he told the police.u00a0
