Even as BJP is looking for means to postpone the BBMP polls youth wing of the party has started lobbying to grab maximum opportunity for youngsters, as the deadline is nearing.

Girish Mattennvar, president, state BJP Yuva Morcha wants his party to issue at 50 tickets to young party members in the forthcoming Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) polls. "With BBMP polls round the corner, we will appeal to our leaders to allow more youngsters to contest on the party ticket."

BJP sources say State President Sadananda Gowda is preparing the party for civic polls in the middle of February.u00a0


City president of BJP Yuva Morcha S Harish is expected to be the candidate from Nagapur, a ward reserved for candidates of the other backward castes category, hundreds of members are pushing themselves hard for an opportunity to contest the polls.

"We need a strong lobby. I hope the BBMP is full of youngsters this time," said Harish.
