Insiders say CM Yeddy deliberately not calling meeting, as he is scared of facing any more dissidence
Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa seems to be so scared of facing any more dissidents after the recent BJP MLAs' rebellion that he has not called the co-ordination committee meeting even after two months of its formation.
"The CM is not able to make any political decision, as he is crippled by his scare of dissident activities," said a senior BJP leader.

"Leave alone calling a co-ordination committee meeting, he is even postponing the appointment of president of the state BJP unit."
D V Sadananda Gowda's term as state BJP president ended last November, but the party is not able to decide on a leader to replace him.
Several names including C H Vijayashankar, Arvind Limbavali, and Araga Gnanendra are doing rounds, but the CM has put the selection process on hold till Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) polls scheduled for February 21 are over.
The CM has also put off nominations for the Legislative Council. Film star Tara and former minister V Somanna were tipped to be nominated for council membership, but they have to wait till the BBMP polls, thanks to the CM's procrastination.
"The CM is facing opposition at each and every step," said the BJP leader.
"The party workers and MLAs are not happy with him and this is the reason why he is postponing his decisions. But this is hindering the growth of the party and developmental work at the government level."
To decide on political appointments such as nomination to the council and BJP state unit president, the co-ordination committee has to meet but the CM is hesitant to call a meeting.
"The way the co-ordination committee was formed is itself a controversy," said the leader. "Many are feeling left out after they were deprived of representation in the committee.

The CM will surely open a Pandora's box if he calls the meeting." While Yeddyurappa wanted his loyalists to fill the committee, his rivals opposed the move tooth and nail.
The CM tried hard to include irrigation minister Bsavaraja Bommai, but the powerful Reddy brothers, who are his opponents within the BJP, are not allowing this to happen.
Scheduled caste leaders are also fuming at Yeddyuappa because there is no one in the committee to represent them. They are also waiting for the committee to meet.
