A baby born about five hours earlier was found abandoned in Pushp Vihar area of south Delhi on Tuesday night. The baby was discovered by three children at around 9 pm under a cooler in house number 1857 Sector 3 in Pushp Vihar.
Three kids - Vivek, Rajesh and Rohit - found the infant wrapped in a shirt under a cooler which belongs to a person identified as Omesh Kumar Chauhan. After responding to the queries of the trio, Chauhan made a PCR call and around 10 pm. Police reached the spot accompanied by an ambulance that did spot check-up of the baby.
"We were playing in the park and suddenly we heard the wails of a baby. Tracking the sound we found the infant under a cooler; there was no blood. Without wasting any moment we informed Chauhan uncle," said Vivek.u00a0
Soon after the check-up of the newborn had been conducted by doctors, police took charge of it and proceeded towards AIIMS to keep the infant under proper care.
