Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety R K Kardam will inspect the five-km stretch, which is part of the Central Secretariat- Badarpur Standard Gauge corridor. Once Kardam gives the green signal, DMRC can inaugurate the line anytime.

A DMRC official said they will decide on the date of the opening only after getting approval from the CMRS. DMRC had rescheduled the opening of the 5-km stretch, part of the Central Secretariat-Badarpur Standard Gauge line, to this month after it missed the Commonwealth Games deadline.
