Till yesterday, 49 suspected swine flu patients were screened at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Chest Diseases (RGICD), Bangalore.
"So far, blood samples of 32 people have been sent to Pune for further tests," said Dr Shashidhar Buggi, director of RGICD.
Earlier, two H1N1 infection cases were confirmed in the city a 29-year-old-woman and her three-year-old daughter, who had returned from New Jersey last week.
"We have begun treating them and they are responding well to medication," said Dr Shivaraj, the doctor in charge of the H1N1 ward at RGICD.
The girl's eight-year-old sister, who hasn't showed any symptoms of the flu yet, has also been admitted as a precautionary measure.
Of the 12 suspected patients who visited the hospital yesterday, only two were admitted.
