Racketeers cheat an officer of Corporation Bank of Rs 3 lakh after promising to secure a seat in a prestigious medical college for his daughter

Ramakrishna L, a senior officer with the Hubli branch of the Corporation Bank, hasu00a0complained that Vertex Career Solutions, a city based educational consultancy, cheated him of Rs 3 lakh.

Sebii George of Vertex allegedly promised Ramakrishna's daughter Neha (name changed), a seat in a prestigious medical college for the sum.

Madhav Nair, manager at Vertex career solutions, claims that his company had already returned Rs 2 lakh to Ramakrishna

Ramakrishna L, a senior officer of the Corporation branch in Hubli, alleged that her daughter had completed her bachelor's degree in dental surgery in 2009 and had secured 800th rank in the common entrance test for a master's degree but could not secure a government quota seat.

While a management quota seat would have cost Ramakrishna around Rs 40 lakh, Sebii George introduced him to K Muneshwar Reddy, the managing director of Vertex career Solutions, who promised to land him a seat for Rs 13 lakh of which he was required to pay Rs 3 lakh as advance.

However, Ramakrishna failed to manage the remaining Rs 10 lakh. While Reddy initially promised to return the amount, he later took to giving lame excuses and stopped taking Ramakrishna's calls.

Rs 2 lakh to Ramakrishna.
