Seems, exotic beaches for calendar shoots are passe. It's time to put the glamour girls in a bit of a grime. Wednesday night saw a leading real estate giant showcasing its calendar at a bash held at Manre, Saket. Only this time, the models had been shot in dirt.
Featuring pretty Miss Indias of 2008 like Parvathy Omanakuttan, Simran Kaur Mundi and Tanvu Vyas along with pageant finalists Radha Bhrambhatt, Shireen Farooq and Kajal Jain, this calendar has been shot not at exotic foreign locations but at various construction sites of the company!
Said Parvathy, "We really had to work hard. With the dust and hot weather, the shooting was tough." Commenting on the launch, the photographer behind the calendar said, "We didn't want to treat the girls like pretty objects and neither did we go to beautiful locations. We worked in some of the most difficult situations."
Fashion choreographer Marc Robinson launched the calendar.
Looking stunning in a bright outfit, Omanakuttan seemed overwhelmed by the response she received when she returned after being crowned the runner-up at the Miss World pageant. But her eyes are now set on Bollywood. She said, "I am waiting for the right opportunity to step into Bollywood."
