That's one of the first questions Delhi police is trying to find answers to

More than twenty-four hours after a crude bomb exploded outside Delhi high court, investigators are yet to make any headway. However, they are pointing at two possibilities - either the culprits who planted the bomb were on foot or they came riding in a car. No clear answers yet.

"Someone would have noticed the miscreants had they come on a two-wheeler as they are not allowed in that area. We suspect that the culprits may have parked the car near the Ford Figo, or would have walked (which is most possible) by the car and just dropped the bomb near it before escaping from the spot," police sources said.

Apart from that, sources said there is a possibility of involvement of a new terror module - also involved in the Jama Masjid incident too - which consists of four to five members. "The trained men of Indian Mujahideen (IM), who are the first to be suspected in cases like these are all either in jail, killed or have gone underground. So there are new boys with untrained skills," sources said. City police's elite anti-terror wing special cell will investigate the explosion outside the court.

Delhi police commissioner BK Gupta, meanwhile, met Union home minister P Chidambaram and briefed him about the incident. Gupta handed over a preliminary investigation report to the minister. He said the force was awaiting CFSL report. "It was a low intensity and mild blast" and "that's why even the car under which it was placed, was not damaged much," he added.

"We will come to know about the explosive in a day or two. Definitely it was a low intensity explosive, otherwise it would have caused major damage. It was not a powerful device," he said.u00a0

Near 'perfect'
Besides, another important point which has come across is that the bag that was used to carry the explosives was manufactured by a company named 'Perfect'. "Perfect is the name of the company mentioned on the bag which is an old one and must have been bought a few months ago," sources said.

One detained
One person has been detained by the special cell of the Delhi police in connection with the blast. "We are questioning him but can't reveal his identity now as it might hamper the probe. All we can say is he is a mechanic from Nizamuddin area," the police sources said.
Delhi police has also conducted raids in Pilkhuwa area, Ghaziabad.
