The Delhi-Amritsar Swarn Shatabadi Express was stopped for three hours here Friday after a caller warned a bomb had been placed on the train. It turned out to be a hoax, police said.
The train left New Delhi at 7.40 a.m. Minutes later, the deputy station superintendent in the New Delhi station received an anonymous call about the bomb.
The train was stopped at the Narela railway station and all passengers were deboarded, a police officer said. The train was searched for three hours. When nothing was found, it was cleared to leave for Amritsar.
