Girl's family files FIR in Faridabad; Noida B-school suspends boy

The police are hot on the chase of the boy who shot and circulated a striptease video of his girlfriend, a fellow student of a Noida Business school.

Meanwhile, the institute suspended the boy on Friday.

The Faridabad police conducted three raids to nab the boy following a complaint by the girl's family that he was threatening to kill the girl. The police have booked the boy under Sections 506 (criminal intimidation) and 507 (criminal intimidation by anonymous caller).

Faridabad Deputy Superintendent of Police Ram Kumar Malik confirmed that the police raided a few places in Noida but were unable to trace the boy.

"We have a team in Noida, which is on the lookout for the accused. We are trying to find the boy, and our team in Noida will be raiding other places to find him," Malik told MiD DAY.

Malik also alleged that his counterparts in Noida were not co-coordinating with the Faridabad police.

Ashok Tripathi, superintendent of police (City), Noida, said that no one had come forward to lodge a complaint regarding the MMS incident.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Noida business school said that the boy who shot the MMS has been suspended.

"The accused student has been suspended on Friday and a college inquiry committee has been formed to investigate the matter," the spokesperson said.

MiD DAY had first reported on February 17, about the MMS in which a Noida Business school student shot his ex-girlfriend doing a striptease and circulated it among his friends. The girl had later complained of being threatened by the boy's father of dire consequences if she would file a complaint.

A day after the report, the girl's family residing at Faridabad had lodged an FIR against the boy for threatening her over the phone.

The accused hails from Kolkata and was residing in Noida, Sector 49.
