British Prime Minister David Cameron landed at Bangalore HAL Airport at 12.45 am. Soon after he reached Leela

Palace at Old Airport Road at 1.05 am along with his 23-vehicle convoy. He will be staying at the hotel for next two days.

With around 100 police officials working in and around Leela Palace, traffic in the area came to a standstill as the Prime Minister with his elaborate convoy, including seven buses and one ambulance, made his way to their hotel where he will be staying in the Presidential Suite.

David Cameron will be put up in the Presidential Suite of Leela Palace.

"It's about a labour of division. Many members from the police force are here tonight. We've had two sniffer dogs canvas the area.

The bomb squad is also on stand by," said Assistant Commissioner of Traffic Police (EAST) Srinivasa Murthy, who was stationed outside Leela Palace.

"It's a huge opportunity to be able to host the British Prime Minister. The security arrangements made by the government and the police were well done," said Andrew Hendrian, the General Manager of Leela Palace. "As the Prime Minister is very health conscious we will serve a balanced meal."

Hendrian said the hotel authorities have informed the other guests about security measures and that access to certain areas will be restricted.

The Prime Minister is expected to have his first Indian meal at the Raj Bhavan this morning where he will meet Governor HR Bhardwaj.
