Career in science
"The board wants to enable visually impaired students who want to pursue their career in the science stream at the senior secondary level. Such students generally avoid taking up subjects under the science stream since they find the practical exams too difficult to handle. But with the new scheme and the changes, it will be possible for them to take up this stream and do well in it," said a senior official from the board.u00a0
From the next academic year, such Std XI students will be made to answer the practical subject matter in the form of multiple-choice questions. The students will also be provided with writers.u00a0
